I’m glad you’re here!
Hi there! I understand how important it is to find a therapist who feels like the right fit for you. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and at ease! I’m happy to set up a 15 minute free consultation call before we set up your first appointment. Feel free to explore this page to learn more about me.
Hi, I’m Haley
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW and Trauma Therapist. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Baylor University in Texas. I specialize in helping adults address their trauma and PTSD symptoms. I’m EMDR trained from an EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) approved institute and I’m currently in the process of obtaining my certification in EMDR. I’m also trained in EMDR specific protocols such as RTEP (Recent Events Protocol), Somatic-focused EMDR, and Early Trauma/Neglect and Attachment related issues.
I know starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, awkward, or even a little scary. My goal is to help you feel at ease in that process by creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and accepting. People close to me would describe me as lighthearted, warm, and “chill.” Even though the work we do together can be challenging, I do my best to make it feel manageable. I believe that therapy can hold both space for depth and lightness—— sometimes that means there’s room for both laughter and tears.
What sessions are like with me…
My cultural roots are important to me.…
An important part of who I am is my cultural identity as an Asian American/Pacific Islander and second-generation immigrant. My cultural background has shaped so much of who I am today. In therapy, I bring that same curiosity and respect to understanding your cultural experiences and beliefs. I remain open minded to learn how your unique background shapes who you are—and how it can guide us in your journey.
Outside of Therapy…
When I’m not wearing my “therapist hat,” I am a wife, daughter, sister, friend, and full-time dog mom. I value spending my free time with my family and friends. I also live a very active lifestyle consisting of surfing, yoga, rock climbing, skiing, and enjoying morning walks on the beach trail. I’m a firm believer in the benefits of exercise on your mental health!
